Hello!
I'm Melissa, I'm an artist & illustrator working in Bristol, UK.
I am a traditional artist working primarily in Aquarelle and Oil paints. I love process of mixing paint and working images the analogue way, creating stories within my images both from the imagination and from those special characters who feature in our everyday lives.
This website is the beginning of my online atelier where I am starting my offerings with bespoke pet portraits for you to treasure as modern heirlooms.
My Story
I have been creating art my whole life but it is certainly within the last 10 years that my work has begun to reach out to others.
I have been sharing snippets of my art online since 2017, and my work grown through a mix of local gallery exhibitions, private commissions, and collaboration work.
In 2024 I illustrated and designed the book cover for Molly Monday's Cupcakes by author Anne Keens.
Whilst much of my original work has lived in the realms of fantasy and surrealism, the stories of an inner landscape, I have a passion for storytelling in its many forms including stories of everyday life.
I’m currently focusing on offering aquarelle pet portraits — limited, hand-painted pieces that honour the bond we have with the animals in our lives. Each commission is approached as an individual artwork, created with care, patience, and attention to detail.
New offerings will be introduced gradually as the atelier grows.
